1. He is alive

But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.

a. A triumphant cry: He is risen.

b. A hopeful cry: He is not here.

c. An evidential cry: See the place where they laid Him.

2. He appeared

Mark 16:9,12,14
9 Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene. 12 After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country. 14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.

3. He ascended

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

a. To intercede for us.

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

b. To appear in the presence of God for us.

Hebrews 9:23-24 (NKJV)
23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;

4. He is still in action today!

Mark 16:20 (NKJV)
20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

a. The manifest life of Christ. (“The disciples went forth … the Lord worked with them.”)

b.Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever”.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
