Key Verse:
John 10:10 ESV
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
God uses the word “abundant” to describe His blessings to us, a word that means, “more than enough.” In Christ, we have more than enough:
Today we will look at eight key blessings Christ gives us in abundance. They are:
1. ABOUNDANT LOVE.
Numbers 14:18 ESV
‘The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love,
A. Love is the Key Ingredient to God’s Salvation.
John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
B. Without Love, Christians Can NOT and WILL NOT Make an Impact for Christ.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 ESV
The Way of Love
1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
C. Before We Can Love Others, We Must First Accept the Abundant Love of Christ.
1 John 4:19 ESV
We love because he first loved us.
2. ABOUNDANT KINDNESS.
Romans 11:22 ESV
Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen,
but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.
A. God gives abundant kindness to all who seek Him through Christ. But for those who turn their back on Him, He withdrawals it!
B. Christians are to be kind!
Ephesians 4:32 ESV
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
C. Even our enemies must experience our kindness.
Luke 6:35 ESV
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great,
and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.
3. ABOUNDANT JUSTICE.
Job 37:23 ESV
…he is great in power; justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate.
A. God is just! He will not overlook Sin! He will deal with it fairly and justly!
Galatians 6:7 ESV
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
B. God gives us spiritual gifts, talents, opportunities and above all TIME! God will judge us on how we use them and on what we use them.
2 Corinthians 5:10 ESV
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
4. ABOUNDANT REDEMPTION.
Psalm 130:7 ESV
O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption.
dictionary.com defines redemption as follows:
1. an act of redeeming or atoning for a fault or mistake, or the state of being redeemed.
2. deliverance; rescue.
3. atonement for guilt.
4. repurchase, as of something sold.
5. ABOUNDANT ANSWERED PRAYER.
Ephesians 3:20 ESV
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,
A. There is NOTHING in the Will of God that He won’t do if you ask Him!
James 4:3 ESV You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.
6. ABOUNDANT GRACE.
John 1:14 ESV
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
A. Grace is unmerited favor! God gives us Grace when we believe on Jesus Christ!
Titus 3:5 ESV
he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,
7. ABOUNDANT HOLY SPIRIT.

A. God pours His Holy Spirit into those who diligently seek Him!
