Andrew was painted as an ordinary person within the pages of the Bible. However, he knew the importance of pointing people to Christ. The Disciple Andrew is only mentioned 12 times in God’s Word, and in many of those mentions he is referred to as the brother of Peter. If your one of the many who find it difficult to find the right words when witnessing, take heart because Andrew shows us that pointing them to Jesus is the very first step to bringing them to God.
John 1:40-42 NIV
40 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus.
41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ).
42 And he brought him to Jesus.
