God calls us to be selfless just like Jesus. We as Christians must deny ourselves and put the things of God first. Truly if we surrender our lives to God, He will give us a more abundant life in return. Yet Many people have difficulty deciding which way to go. They try to hold on to God with one hand and the World with the other.
We must be firm in our decision for Christ, leaving no bridge unburned which would facilitate turning back. We must set rules and limits for ourselves. We win by staying as far from Satan’s territory as possible.
We can only achieve self denial through faithful church attendance, daily prayer and Bible reading, plus sharing Christ with others. These bring victory over self.
